Bridget Cole has never forgotten the kiss that she and her friend Matthew Fox shared when they were teenagers.  Twelve years later, she can still remember the agonized look on his face as her mother dragged her away from him--the last time she saw him.  The kiss had been devastating and powerfully charged.

 Her mother had always envisioned a better life for Bridget, putting her through beauty pageants throughout her life.  Now Bridget is a top model, jetting around the world doing the high fashion scene.  However, with her modeling career winding down, Bridget isn’t sure where she is heading.  Nearly bankrupt because of her frivolous spending, she heads back to her hometown where she runs smack into Matt again.

A professor at MIT, Matt has developed a new fabric and needs a market for it.  Offering Bridget the position of heading up a new business, Matt hopes to help both of them in their careers.  The undeniable chemistry between them is still burning bright, and soon they begin a steamy love affair.  Bridget is convinced that the fashion design business she has begun is just temporary until the modeling job offers start coming back in.  However, can she give up what she’s found back home to get back on the fast track? 

I enjoyed the story and characters in ALMOST NAKED INC very much.  They were down to earth and seemed real to me.  I found myself getting irritated with Bridget because of her blindness to her mother’s manipulations and her inability to see beyond the bigger picture.  However, this is true to how most of us are in real life, so I was pleased the author chose to portray that side of Bridget.  Sometimes we all are blind to the bigger picture, we let other people tell us what is good for us and are not able to look beyond what we think we need right then. 

Matt and Bridget have great chemistry and the love scenes are well placed and well written.  Karen Anders does a great job of mixing heated passion, emotional love and modern-day relationship dilemmas in a wonderful book.  Don’t miss out on ALMOST NAKED INC.
