Tooth
fairies, boogeymen, Easter bunnies and the likes are what you get in
this way out of the ordinary paranormal romance.
I suppose it’s too much to hope for but I'd prefer a decent
romance with less bizarre characters--a vampire, a witch, something a
little less wacky. Instead, we have tooth fairies… Belle
Moody (aka the Tooth Fairy) has a problem,
her aunt lost all the money they have.
Now she has no change to put under the little children’s
pillows. So she takes a
second job posing as a European royal princess at a Texas
millionaire’s party. However,
the son of the woman who hired her over hears her calling home in her
not so European voice and deduces that she is just another money hungry
con artist. So, he whisks her off to his remote farm - he’ll show her! What’s
worse is that something’s growing out of his back--he’s turning into
the boogeyman. With a
misunderstanding for a beginning, this romance is definitely one for the
storybooks. I’ll just come right out and say it: I don’t like silly heroines, nor do I care for bizarre characters in my romances. I can deal with vampires, witches, ghosts (please someone give me a good ghost!), but the tooth fairy and boogeyman seem to be scraping the bottom of the barrel to me. I tried to get past that and tried to focus in on the plot and storyline, but that wasn’t easy either. The hero is a jerk most of the time in this book, and the heroine runs around with her silly attitude all the time. Basically I had no patience for either of them. I’m still waiting for my ghost….
