I have not read the previous Effington books, so the family was new to me.  However, Victoria Alexander does a fantastic job at making them feel as though you’ve known them forever.  I didn’t feel out of place at any point with the book. 

Interlaced with Dickens’ classic, A Christmas Carol, A VISIT FROM SIR NICHOLAS is a wonderfully romantic holiday novel.  Fans of historical romance will not want to miss Victoria Alexander’s latest.
