Just in time for Halloween, readers are treated to a trio of stories, all involving witches.  Carly Alexander, Theresa Alan and Holly Chamberlin each share their own magical tale of witchcraft.

First up is Holly Chamberlin's "The Trouble With Witchcraft."  Lia Brock is known for her imperfect spells, so she hesitates on casting another when her best friend asks her to do so.  Lia's last spell sent the man she adored to an unknown destination.  When Jared magically reappears and begins paying attention to Lia, she wonders if she'll ever have the courage to fess up to her mistake.

Next, Carly Alexander offers "Single White Witch."  Annie Quicksilver is researching human men.  Her impossible boss, Simon McAllistair, isn't making her job easy.  As Annie continues on her quest to find a man worthy of a woman, she realizes she may be looking for someone she already has met...

Finally, Theresa Alan's "The Witches Guide To Life" took the cake.  This story was easily my favorite of the three.  Ariel Merrill's art show is looming, and she's nervous to say the least.  When she blurts out an invitation to a handsome stranger, she never expects he'll show up.  She isn't prepared for the stir he causes when he buys one of her paintings.  Now that her paintings are selling like hotcakes and she's got a hot man on her tail, you'd think her life is complete.  So why is she suddenly having problems creating additional works of art?

All three stories grab you from the start and create a vivid romance that will bring a sigh to most readers' lips.  I'm not fond of witch stories, so I don't think I found the intrigue with these stories the same way paranormal fans will.  Theresa Alan's novella stands out for me.  The characters seem more three-dimensional, the story springs from the pages and tugs on my heartstrings.  For that story alone, SEX AND THE SINGLE WITCH is well worth reading!
