Twenty-three years ago, Jennifer Morgan left Italy with her heart in a million pieces.  She returned to America to find out she was carrying the child of her lover.
Years later, Jennifer has become a very accomplished and sought-after architect, who has the chance to return to Florence to work on a major project.  She knows this will be the one of the hardest things she has ever had to do, returning to the city where she loved with all of her soul and lost it at the same time.  Yet she wants her daughter to get a glimpse of what she and her father once shared.  When she meets her perspective boss, she is convinced that he is after a quick fling, yet she has feelings for him.  Therefore, she is bound and determined to keep him at arms length.

James Donovon is a billionaire who has always searched for the idea of love that a person had once described to him.  He has never found it, until Jennifer Morgan changes everything.  James falls and he falls hard, but he knows that Jennifer is still in love with someone else and doesn’t know if he can reach her heart completely.  Can James get her to feel for him what she has felt once before?

IT HAPPENED IN FLORENCE is a beautifully written story of lost and newfound love.  Ms. Aislinn draws you into this story with her wonderful details of Florence, Italy.  At times, you feel as though you are an actual participant, instead of just a reader.  This author also portrays emotions unlike any I have ever read and my heart just ached for James and Jennifer.  Aislinn also throws in some interesting twists, which compliment the story without overdoing it.  If you love emotional books, run out and IT HAPPENED IN FLORENCE.  I can honestly say this has hit my keeper shelf and will be reread often.  I see Ms. Aislinn going far in the world of romance, and I can’t wait to see more of her work.
