Taylor
Moore has a huge fantasy--Drew Garrick and what she would like him to do
to her. Half of the first chapter of HUSBAND HUNTING deals with this
fantasy and is very sexual. Taylor has dreamed of marrying Drew since
childhood, and now her biological clock is ticking. Taylor is the owner of a business where she is a publicity and promotions executive. Her first meeting of the day happens to be with Drew who brings her a newspaper. The front page article describes the unsafe working conditions for the local cannery, one of her major clients. Of course, it doesn’t make matters any better since the owner of that cannery happens to be her brother, Brian. Drew
wants Taylor to drop the account. Taylor, on the other hand, feels
loyalties toward her brother and can’t believe he is doing wrong. HUSBAND
HUNTING's plot
is straight forward and the characters were believable. There is obvious
chemistry between Taylor and Drew. However, I felt that the number
of sexual scenes in the first chapter could have been reduced without
damaging the plot.
